Games, in particular the ones where us humans play to get ahead in: class, work, family, whatever the case may be are never worth it. They break hearts, relationships, and families apart. And often the person who is playing the kiss up in life game is the most deceitful, evil, and disgusting person you might ever encounter. Sadly, they often don’t see their fault. And furthermore, the person(s) doesn’t understand it is a sin. “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-24
I am sadden to witness this, this Christmas season.
It is impermissible for abuse in any type of relationship, especially with two Christians. Whether it be by psychological, verbal, sexual, or physical. It simply should not be allowed. However, I have witnessed it over and over again amongst my friends. This fact without doubt saddens me to no end. I suppose some will say it’s merely the age that we live in. But I would like to chalk it up with their need to be closer to God, or rather their lack there of.
But it cost me an entire years worth of text convos.
Oh well, there was only one I really cared about saving. And we apparently weren’t friends in the first place.
Then I suppose I started back too hard.
Because my left bicep is barely allowing me to move my arm.
Oh well, no pain no gain!
I could really go for a pitching session right now.
Too bad it is thirty-eight degrees outside, not to mention that it’s almost One O’clock.
